This is adorable. Definitely not trying to be taken too seriously, so enjoy it for what it is: a wholesome little romantic comedy. Definitely a slice of life, so don't expect much by way of high drama.

ohk Let me first review this for me this is just a masterpiece with tons of wholesome scenes and like the there aren't many love rivals the one that is a love rival is a outstanding character itself and if we talk about the main character then I would just say one thing its just great seriously u won't find this level of wholesmeness anywhere else like shikimori is smart, intelligent, overprotective of her bf, loved by everyone and super cool.....and on the other hand Izumi he is not a loner he has good grades not dumb, knows how to express his feelings, doesn;t chicken out, he is unlucky but kind to everyone, etc.......now the parents they are just too wholesome they accept there realionship and like can even allow them to mary even if they are minors, are lovely, dad is a chad, mother is a milf with wholesomeness.....now the friends they are supporting of them all the way through....atlast I would only say that this has no flaws STUPID PEOPLE ARE LITERALLY HATING IT BECAUSE THE ART STYLE CHANGE NOW AND THEN {BUT IT NEVER GETS BAD} AND REASON LIKE TIME SKIPS HAPPEN TO OFTEN SO LIKE I AM GONNA SAY GET SOME LIFE.......This is far better then manga like higehiro, and prostitude stuff like metamorphisis.

This is an etude in drawing the same character, but using two different art styles to evoke two distinct feelings out of that character: cuteness and coolness. It also engages with gender roles and how it's okay for men to be the protected rather than the protector and for women to be more than just eye-candy. There's no depth, but if you just let the chapters trickle over you, it's alright I guess.
